Vice President for Education

Dr Marc Jackson is the Vice President for Education for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  In this role, Dr. Jackson oversees the Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting; the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology; District and Section Activities; Continuing Medical Education (CME); and freestanding postgraduate continuing medical education courses.
Dr. Jackson came to ACOG from Intermountain Healthcare and the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he was a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician. He also practiced Maternal-Fetal Medicine and served as the Medical Director of Interprofessional Continuing Education at Intermountain.


A graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Jackson completed his residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio and his Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.


Dr. Jackson served as chair of ACOG’s Committee on Practice Bulletins – Obstetrics and was on the Editorial Board of the Green Journal, ACOG’s Committee on Obstetric Practice and ACOG’s Evidence-Based Medicine Workgroup.
